In the old male apoE^-/- mice, the vascular function was analyzed in aorta rings from the arch. ^# and * denotes statistically significant differences in EC₅₀ and E_max, respectively, observed for the aged control groups as compared with the young control group (P < 0.05, ANOVA with unequal variance between groups).
