Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid cell counts following oropharyngeal aspiration of three forms of MWCNTs at 1μg and 100 μg or SS vehicle control (10% surfactant saline). The cell counts were performed at 1 day, 7 day and 28 day post-instillation. Data reported as mean ± SEM for n = 4. * indicates significance from SS, † indicates significance from 1 μg dose in same MWCNT form, P ≤ 0.05.
