BAL cells of Bmal1-/-mice exposed to MWCNTs and ZnO NPs. Both groups receiving the low and high dose of MWCNT showed CNT-laden macrophages in the BAL 8 weeks after the last administration (T2) whereas the BAL cells of the mice exposed to the ZnO NPs did not show - at this magnification - any inclusions of particulate material.
