Attenuated fibrotic phenotypes in Opn KO lungs. WT and Opn KO mice were exposed to DM or MWCNTs (40 μg) for 1, 3, 7, 14, 28, and 56 days. (a) Histopathology and total collagen fibers were detected by Masson’s Trichrome staining of lung tissue sections, with collagen fibers stained blue (scale bar: 200 μm). Around a half of the left lung lobe is presented in each image to show and compare the overall changes in histopathology. Representative images for the treatment groups are presented.
