PM2.5 induces ROS generation in 4-week-old and 10-month-old mice. The generation of ROS by PM2.5 was detected by photocatalysis using the ROS-sensitive probe DCFHDA. Mean fluorescence units (FLU)/mg protein in each treated groups was shown as a fold change compared to the mean value in the control group of 4-week-old mice, which had been ascribed an arbitrary value of 1. Each column and bar represents the mean ± SE (n = 7~ 9).
