Expression of ACE2 and TMPRSS2 in pulmonary fibrosis tissue. Masson’s trichrome, Picro Sirius Red staining and immunohistochemistry for ACE2 and TMPRSS2 were performed in continuous lung tissue sections from four IPF patients on behalf of one patient. The fibrotic areas, stained as blue in Masson’s trichrome or red in Picro Sirius Red, express strong ACE2 and TMPRSS2 staining.
