Exposure to inhaled DEP results in changes in microbial profiles which is exacerbated in high-fat fed mice. Heat map shows the percent change in DEP with their respective HF and LF controls for most abundant A phyla and B genus in C57Bl/6 male mice exposed to inhaled diesel exhaust particles (DEP- 35 μg PM) compared to saline control (CON) twice a week for four weeks on either low-fat (LF) or high-fat (HF) diet. An increase in bacteria with DEP exposure is indicated by a positive percentage and a decrease in bacteria with DEP with exposure is indicated by a negative percentage.
