Analysis of the effect of NPRs on ROS production and loss of mitochondrial membrane potential by flow cytometry. Analysis of the superoxide anion generation by flow cytometry. The indicated cells were mock treated (ctrl) or incubated with NPR-P and NPR-PG nanoparticles at four different concentrations (25, 50, 100 and 200 μg/mL) for 48 h. (a) Superoxide generation was monitored using 2HE and (b) ΔΨm was monitored using DIOC6 as indicated in experimental section. As positive control (C+) staurosporine 1 μM was used. Data represent mean values ± SD from three independent experiments *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001
